The Giorno Mini launched on 6 July. Landing it here is this job.
Your ad makes this role accountable for translating global launches into local market and channel-specific opportunities, with forecast accuracy attached. So instead of claiming I can do that, here is the week-one landing brief for the machine HQ just shipped.
Worked example, illustrative figures.
UAE landing brief: Giorno Mini + Steamer Pro
for the Marketing Manager, week oneWhat HQ shipped on 6 July: the most compact Nespresso Professional machine to date, four coffee lengths plus hot water, positioned for hotel rooms, executive offices and small businesses, with the Steamer Pro milk frother beside it.
Where it lands first
The machine's own positioning names three buyers. The UAE cannot open all three fronts at once with the same account managers.
Hotel rooms lead, executive offices second. An in-room machine belongs in a market with this much hotel stock, sold as a suite amenity. Refused: a café and restaurant push. Counter throughput belongs to the Aguila, which pours up to 200 coffees an hour. Selling the Mini there muddies the range.
How it sells
The machine opens the account; the 16-capsule Professional range carries the business. Account managers need one page, not a deck.
A one-page argument per buyer: the in-room upgrade math per occupied night (illustrative until priced), closed with what already works here, the complimentary workplace coffee tasting, booked in the same meeting.
What I commit to
Sell-in closes before the October-to-April high season; pilot floors run in September so routines settle before peak occupancy.
A forecast built bottom-up, placements times capsule attach rate, agreed with CE&I and Operations before sell-in starts, with the week-6 evaluation criteria committed now, not after the numbers arrive.
Post-evaluation: week 6
same sheet, honest verdictsHotel rooms at plan. Pilot properties placed as forecast; tasting-to-order conversion above the bar we set.
Executive offices behind plan. Offices buy in Q4 budget cycles. Rebaselined, not defended: the forecast moved and the supply plan moved with it, agreed with Operations.
Feedback to the global category owner. The Mini sells as a suite amenity in this market; the office case needs Q4 timing and a bundle price. A pattern other Gulf markets can reuse.
The call going forward: scale the hotel motion, hold offices for Q4, and keep routing café demand to the Aguila.
I built this brief and this page myself, with the AI tools I work with daily. The same tooling turns portfolio reviews, competitive monitoring and sales tools from days of work into hours.
What you ask for, and what I bring
At least 5 years' experience as Product and/or Brand Specialist
Six years of FMCG product marketing before my digital career: at Domaco I drove products from idea to market launch and prepared forecasts and budget inputs; at Cruspi I ran consumer and trade promotions end to end for well-known distribution brands; at Promena I managed an own-brand portfolio, planning promotions, steering procurement and negotiating directly with international brand manufacturers.
Leading brands and a strong commercial mindset
At Ifolor I owned a CHF 100M+ e-commerce business, reporting to C-level: portfolio performance, budget, KPIs, and a testing program that lifted conversion 9% and checkout completion 15%. At WePractice (Migros Group) I built the go-to-market as part of the founding team: two funding rounds, 10 locations, a 23-person team.
The honest read
I have not worked in HORECA. The closest I have come is building and running a 10-location physical service network, so I know operators, floors and opening routines, but not hotel coffee. And this role sits below my last title, which is deliberate: this is the work my FMCG years were made of, and I would rather do it inside a brand I believe in than hold out for a bigger title elsewhere.

My first MBP cycle with you
The portfolio and the people. Ride along with account managers, learn the 16-capsule range and the machine park from Zenius to Aguila, and take over the running portfolio review with Data & Insights.
Own one launch end to end. Localization, channel plan, sell-in tools for the account managers, and a forecast agreed with CE&I and Operations before it ships.
Pre- and post-evaluations as routine. Every launch gets committed criteria upfront and an honest review after, with feedback filed to global owners, and the grind of portfolio reviews and competitive monitoring compressed with the AI tooling I bring.
About me
I am Swiss, based in Zurich, and planning the move to Dubai with my partner. The decision is made; I am available with notice.
Outside work I cycle far (my last long trip was bikepacking through Togo and Benin), play tennis, cook, and run Pedal Peak, a live cycling platform I build end to end. German is my mother tongue, my English is fluent, my French conversational.
